The clock will tick away the hours one by one
Then the time will come when all the waiting's done
The time when you return and find me here and run
Straight to my waiting arms.
If it takes forever, I will wait for you
For a thousand summers I will wait for you
Till you're back beside me, till I'm holding you
And forever I will wait for you.
Anywhere you wander, anywhere you go
Every day remember how I love you so
In your heart believe what in my heart I know
That forevermore I'll wait for you.

When you're in love You can walk in the rain You can think you're in New York You can walk on the sea Listen, listen to the weather You can walk in the rain You can think you're in New York You can walk the Earth |

Personal note:
On hearing of the passing of Michel Legrand, I sent Nana Mouskouri the above clip (Quand on s'aime) and she replied:
Merci cher Jonathan, so sweet of you.
My story with Michel started In 64 with Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (I will Wait for You) I was not in the film, but recorded it in French, English, Italian, Spanish, German and Japanese.
Here is the German version.
Thank you for thinking. Quand on s’aime is one of the duo songs wrote and recorded with me in french with Eddy Marnay, a wonderful writer.
With love and affection
je vous embrasse
